Title: Digital Media Sales Executive – Hospitality
Reports to: UK Sales Manager
Based at: Victoria, London + flexible working
The Caterer is the industry-leading B2B digital and events portfolio for the hospitality sector and is currently seeking a Digital Media Sales Executive to play a crucial role in driving the brands growth plans through 2025 and beyond.
The Caterer is part of Jacobs Media, Europe’s largest B2B media company within the travel and hospitality sectors. This opportunity is about taking The Caterer to the next level by expanding our commercial reach to further grow revenues generated by our digital portfolio.
The successful candidate will excel in building and maintaining client relationships and have a proven track record of selling creative digital solutions in a similar environment.
The successful candidate will report into Jacobs Media’s UK Sales Manager for The Caterer.
The role will involve the following:
• Product Knowledge: Study and understand all facets of The Caterer digital media products and services being offered.
• Sales Tactics: Train in various sales tactics and approaches approved by the company.
• Client Acquisition: Approach potential clients through new leads, cold calls, existing relationships, promotional events, or other means.
• Sales Pitch: Deliver skilled sales pitches to potential clients, either by phone, email or in person, to secure sales.
• Product Explanation: Explain the benefits and potential audience of specific media offerings to potential clients.
• Pricing and Negotiation: Detail pricing and negotiate costs when necessary.
• Sales Facilitation: Collect client information and provide order information to the company to facilitate successful sales.
• Record Keeping: Add notes to records for each client call or meeting.
• Order Tracking: Track every media purchase to ensure accurate and timely completion.
• Target Achievement: Work to maximize sales and meet revenue targets in both short and long term.
• Client Relationship Management: Maintain excellent relationships with all clients in the executive's portfolio.
• Able to work Monday-Friday, 9am-5.30pm as your core hours (min 3 office days per week), but willing to attend additional events outside of office hours.
Additional Duties
• Networking: Attend industry events, workshops, and conferences to network with professionals and generate more sales opportunities, sometimes outside of normal business hours.
• Client Meetings: Meet with clients for presentations or to discuss contract terms, sometimes outside of normal business hours.
• Travel: Participate in tradeshows or industry events as required, sometimes outside of normal business hours.

• Experience: Previous digital media sales experience
