Role overview

We seek a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for training and development, strong communication skills, and the ability to build lasting client relationships. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling product training and marketing packages.


Key responsibilities

• Increase revenue and expand market share in your territory by building strong personal connections with key individuals in your account base and transforming these relationships into long-term partnerships.

• Prepare and research appropriately to take a consultative sales approach and recommend the best “solutions.”

• Pro-actively and regularly provide clients with relevant information and ideas, and in response to enquiries about products and services.

• Identify and explore new commercial partners while initiating conversations with confidence.

• Monitor market trends and encourage client feedback – maintaining a high level of knowledge of industry news and competitor activity.

• Complete timely and accurate administrative work including maintaining high quality customer records and sales order processing via Salesforce.

• Generate and maintain a comprehensive pipeline of sales opportunities with regular revenue forecasts generated via Salesforce and reported to the line manager.

• Attend industry events and conferences, sometimes outside of regular office hours and may require overnight stays.


Key requirements

• Proven experience in delivering sales results, building commercial partnerships and account management

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Knowledge of the Travel Industry

• A passion for training, learning and development within the B2B travel sector

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent communication and relationship management skills

• Flexibility to travel – attend relevant conferences, and events
