Since their inception in 1984, the Cateys have been firmly established as a celebration of all that’s great in hospitality. The Cateys recognise phenomenal brands and trailblazing people from across restaurants, hotels, foodservice, pubs and bars who have achieved outstanding things.
Winning a Catey marks the pinnacle of a career in hospitality and new winners are crowned each July at a glittering ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House hotel with an audience of 1,300 leaders from across the industry.
The academy of former Cateys winners includes Gordon Ramsay, Heston Blumenthal, Jason Atherton, Tom Kerridge, Michel Roux Jr, Raymond Blanc, Sir Terence Conran, Alastair Storey and Sir Rocco Forte.
November 2007 saw the first spin-off event, the Hotel Cateys, while the Foodservice Cateys launched in October 2013. Both take place at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London and recognise the very best people, teams and innovations in the UK hotel and foodservice markets.
The Cateys are curated by the team behind The Caterer, led by editor James Stagg.
